There are countless sources for free music on the Internet, and mP3gle promises to find all of them for you. The premise is simple. Choose an artist or song, and enter the name into the convenient Google-style search box (though the site offers a clear disclaimer that it is no way affiliated with the search engine) and mP3gle scours the net for free downloads. This sounded slightly too good to be true, but the website performed perfectly on a test run. Typing in ‘Bob Dylan’ returned a collection of Dylan covers, performances, and interviews. Though the results were impressive mP3gle is not without faults. There doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way the tracks are listed, and most of the material was really only available for streaming. Even with these hiccups, finding free music with mp3gle is much easier than without it. [Our Digital Music]
