Gang Starr Foundation member Big Shug dropped a gem earlier this year with the DJ Premier-produced track "Play It." His album, Street Champ, didn't quite live up to the single, but that'd be a tall task for anyone. So, he went the best route possible and released this remix of "Play It" featuring Royce Da 5'9", Termanology and Singapore Kane. DJ Premier chops the samples a bit differently this time around, and although Shug's verse is the same, the new cats (especially the always on-point Royce (we love him even though his name always jacks up our post headers)) do it justice. Listen to the original after the jump.
i like the contrasting styles of all the guys rapping. hey MK would you rather get punched by, Big Shug or Sean Price?
Dave Park
That's like asking a mother which of her kids she wants to see disemboweled. I can't even answer that one.
Mike Krolak
I'll take that to mean that you're not afraid of either of them. I'll notify their managers and arrange a fight immediately.
Dave Park
You are an evil person.

sean P and big shug are scary dudes, but out of the new york rappers, freddie Foxx is definatly the scarest dude. Guy should up to a record label and beefed with excutives hood style.
