Los Angeles dance-rock outfit Moving Units is slated to release its second full-length, Hexes for Exes, October 9 via Metropolis. The core trio of the band, based around leader Blake Miller, is now fleshed out with a fourth member, guitarist Victor Velazquez. The new material reportedly finds Moving Units exploring the sounds, scenes, and emotions of the L.A. area's nightlife. The band will open for Smashing Pumpkins tomorrow (July 25) at the Fillmore in San Francisco. Then they have a few more Cali dates scheduled after that, with extensive touring expected to come later this year.
