Movement Electronic Music Festival's Full Lineup Announced
Since debuting in 2000 as the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, the event has grown considerably. It's also adopted a new name, which simply replaces the name of the city with "Movement." The festival's executive director, Jason Huvaere, has also looked to make sure the event includes "the various genres of electronic dance music."
"We do our best to incorporate as many of them as possible into the three days," Huvaere added, referring to the festival running from May 28 through May 30. "This year’s lineup represents every corner of the electronic music scene.”
What that means for festival-goers is that they will get a chance to see more than 100 acts, which range from Flying Lotus to Elliot Lipp to Fatboy Slim the Motor City's own the Dirtbombs. It's likely the latter will be playing jams off their techno covers album, Party Store.
