Recently, Minnesota’s Public Radio Program Weekend America asked The Mountain Goats to write them a song for Super Tuesday. Rather amazingly, their wish was granted. The song is called “Down to the Ark” – and while the Goats don’t explicitly endorse a candidate, the similarities between Obama’s “Yes, We Can!” and Darnielle’s “I felt free and I felt lonely and I felt scared” are, at this point, pretty hard to deny.
