Mount Kimbie Sign To Warp Records, Prepare Second Album

After releasing their Crooks and Lovers debut on Hotflush Records in 2010, the London-based “post-dubstep” duo Mount Kimbie are gearing up to release their follow-up LP on long-acclaimed electronic label Warp Records. No release date, title, artwork, or songs for the album is available yet, but it’s being reported that sessions for the record are underway.

Mount Kimbie join Aphex Twin, Gonjasufi, Boards of Canada, Flying Lotus, Grizzly Bear and others on Warp’s current roster. Here’s an official statement about the signing from the group’s Kai Campos and Dominic Maker:

Excited and honoured to announce that we have signed to Warp Records! We’re looking forward to working together for a long time and feel this is the perfect home for our future endeavours.

We would like to say a big thank you to Hotflush Recordings for all the work they have done and express our gratitude to everyone that has supported us along the way.

    Excited for the future,

    Kai & Dom
