Mötley Crüe to release new single through Rock Band

Move over Trent Reznor, because Mötley Crüe's knows where you can stick your new business model: on an XBox 360. Following Def Leppard's lead with Guitar Hero III, The band will be the first to release their new single "Saints of Los Angeles" on Rock Band, as the track will be downloadable today on the XBox 360 and on Thursday for the Playstation 3. It's not a wholly exclusive debut, as Spinner already nabbed the track on Friday, but it's a sign of a time that even a band that hasn't really been relevant since 1989 is resorting to innovation to sidestep traditional music biz practices.
