Motley Crue Releases Fifth Greatest Hits Album, Fans Mad at the Band's Blatant Commercialism
Hair metal fans are all :( this week because Motley Crue released their fifth album of greatest hits, yet another comp that collects most of Shout at the Devil with whatever other garbage was on the band's most recent album. Apparently these fans are surprised that Motley Crue, a non-capitalist enterprise and a long-running bastion of giving fans a fair shake, would like their fans to pony up more money for old songs they already know. I guess the best part of this whole thing is that Motley Crue have released five greatest hits albums since 1991, which is basically the year they stopped making anything resembling "great" "hits." not that i give a crap about motley crue or are interested in defending their flabby take on glam metal, but i doubt they have anything to do w/ these sorts of decisions...i'd blame it on the record labels.
