It's easy to forgot that Meat is Murder, the title of The Smiths' second album, is completely unironic. Morrissey is a strict vegatarian, and his passion against meat has not wavered over the last 25 years. At London's O2 wireless festival last weekend, Moz was reported to have called for a ban on backstage meat—even putting up posters of the appropriate Smiths album in the VIP area.
The move backfired when the Rascals defaced the posters with drawings of hamburgers and replacing the word "murder" with "boss." Sounds like they won't be drinking Hennessey with Morrissey anytime soon.
Morrisey will spend the next couple of weeks wrapping up his tour with a few fest appearances in Spain and Israel.

you tell 'em, moz! funny how people freak out if there is no meat available, when i can't count how many times i've been to events, parties, etc., and there is nothing meatless for those of us who prefer not to eat animals ...
