Morrissey and Mos Def Contribute Latino Census Songs
What cause could possibly bring Morrissey and Mos Def together? A group named Vote Latino have pulled off that feat, by asking musicians to contribute to a new compilation album, which is designed to urge Latino citizens in the U.S. to participate in the 2010 Census.
The album compiled by Vote Latino works as a kind of friendly bribe—if people pledge to fill out the 2010 U.S. Census Form, they will be given a chance to download a free album that contains tracks by a wide variety of artists. Pitbull, Ruben Blades and Rodrigo y Gabriela are among the other artists taking part.
