Via MTV.com Those crazy ex-Rage kids and their public protesting shenangians. Following in the footsteps of Zach de la Rocha showcasing his ukelele skills in support of the South L.A. Farmers, Audioslave ax grinder Tom Morello was arrested Thursday night during a protest for immigrant rights. Don't cry for Tommy, though, because he wasn't alone; around 400 other protesters were locked up as well. Morello had performed under his "Nightwatchman" alias before being hauled in. The next day, he posted $5,000 bail and was set free. In a cruel twist of fate, another music man even further down the relevance ladder from Morello performed but wasn't arrested. And who was that? Ben Harper. Pansy hippie probably got scared and ran when the handcuffs came out. God forbid the cops find the dimebag you know that clown had on him. Do you think Morello's conscience feels like he needs to involve himself in social issues more and more to make up for his worsening, stuck in the '90s stomp-rock?
goddammit, it was NOT a ukelele. It was a jarana. And Tom Morello has always been heavily involved in political activism. I know his band sucks now, but seriously, that's Tom Morello you're talking about there. Back the fuck off.

[...] I shouldn’t even type anything beyond that heading, as last time I spoke ill of Tom Morello’s political activism or said something negative about a member of Audioslave, I got beat up on the boards. So I’ll keep it simple. This Friday night, on the season finale of Bill Maher’s political talk show Real Time, the ex-Rage guitar grinder and current Chris Cornell bandmate will be one of the guests. Check your local HBO listings for the time. [...]
