The collaboration between Magnolia Electric Company mastermind Jason Molina and Centro-Matic frontman Will Johnson has produced one studio album, but as yet no live dates have been forthcoming from the singer-songwriters. Due to unfortunate circumstances, that will hold true for the immediate future. A few weeks ago a scheduled European tour was nixed, and now word comes that the entirety of their U.S. jaunt, scheduled to run through February with opener Chris Brokaw, has been canned as well. As with the cancelled European dates, Molina's continued health problems have been cited, but no further information was given beyond this ambiguous quote from Molina, "It is funny that the road isn't what nearly killed me, it was not being on the road."
Sounds like Molina tours a lot. But I've never seen Songs: ohia or Mag Elec Co. My bad.
