Since one half of the duo, Prodigy, was released from prison last month, it seems that Mobb Deep have been camped out in the studio. They recorded a few "reunion" cuts, such as "Dog Shit," and Prodigy dropped a brand-new EP last week. And as Havoc explains in the above interview with MTV, the duo also worked on getting out of their contract with G-Unit Records. Now that they're independent, Havoc said Mobb Deep will release a self-titled EP in August featuring eight to ten new tracks. It will serve as their first proper effort since 2006's Blood Money.
