If you’ve been paying attention to the news or Twitter over the past 24 hours, you know it’s been a rough time for Mitt Romney. Though his 47 percent comment is has caused an uproar, there’s actually some more telling comments from the infamous video that’s raised some eyebrows and perhaps gives some insight to his campaign’s thoughts about his television appearances.
Curiously, Romney turned down the opportunity to appear on Saturday Night Live saying "the potential of looking slapstick and not presidential."
Though he may have a point, appearing on the show hasn’t hurt candidates in the past. However, Romney left his most candid remarks for the ladies of The View.
"The View is fine,” he said at the fundraiser. “Although The View is high risk because of the five women on it, only one is conservative, and four are sharp-tongued and not conservative. Whoopi Goldberg in particular.Although last time I was on the show, she said, 'You know what? I think I could vote for you.' And I said, I must have done something really wrong."
If Romney is worried about the ladies of The View and ducking SNL, it will be interesting to see if he wins, how he will handle the scrutiny of dealing with foreign leaders.
