Will we one day see a Mitt Romney biopic starring Gene Hackman as the Republican presidential nominee? If Romney has his way, the answer might be yes.
During an appearance on ABC's morning show Live! With Kelly and Michael on Friday, Romney chose Hackman as the actor he'd like to see play him onscreen. The Hollywood Reporter points out that Hackman is 17 years older than the GOP nominee. Romney's wife Ann, who appeared with her husband, said she would like to be played by Michelle Pfeiffer, who is actually nine years her junior, making the couple's dream biopic a bit unrealistic.
Romney also told hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan that he is a fan of reality star and new mom Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi (MTV's The Jersey Shore). He said, "Look how tiny she's gotten. She's lost weight. She's energetic. Just her spark-plug personality is kind of fun."
The Romneys have spoken about their favorite parts of pop culture before this. Mrs. Romney recently caused controversy when she revealed that her favorite television show is Modern Family, which famously features a gay couple. The remark led to Modern Family co-creator Steve Levitan to comment, "We'll offer her the role of officiant at Mitch & Cam's wedding. As soon as it's legal."
