This is probably one of those rare (sure to ubiquitous in the next year) stories about some hack politician using an artist's song that isn't going to end in the artist openly complaining on Twitter or threatening lawsuit. Charisma challenged Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney (at least until Sarah Palin swoops in and wins the shit) has chosen Kid Rock's "Born Free" as his campaign song.
Now, before you start thinking Rock is above big-upping Romney, you have to remember he supported George W. Bush, and he and Romney share a Michigan upbringing.
However, I thought we reached the point in our history when we would no longer have to live in a world where we ever have to hear Kid Rock's "Born Free," but that seems to have been but a pipe dream. Unfortunately. [DS]
