Mission of Burma Refuse To Fade, Begin Work On New Album

Thirty years after originally forming in 1979 and seven years into their celebrated second manifestation, Boston post-punk luminaries Mission of Burma have just begun work on their fourth full-length LP, the follow-up to 2006’s upstart The Obliterati. Details are sparse, but it is known that the group has returned to an unknown studio to begin demoing songs for the album, which has yet to receive an official title. The album is scheduled to be released by the end of the year, and will contain songs that are much too bold and badass to be written and performed by men in their mid-fifties. [Aversion]
