Miley's Loss Is Karen O's Grammy Gain

You probably didn't notice, but Hannah Montana: The Movie was a pretty big deal in 2009, grossing upwards of 155 million dollars worldwide. Naturally, Miley Cyrus' track "The Climb" was in the running forBest Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media at the Grammys in January, until the singer withdrew it from consideration because "The Climb" wasn't written specifically for Hannah Montana: The Movie.

In tumultuous situations like this one, the song that gets the next highest number of votes receives a nomination, and in this case that song was "All Is Love" by Karen O! The Yeah Yeah Yeahs lead singer faces off against Paramore, A.R. Rahman, Bruce Springsteen, and Beyonce Knowles for the honor. [Rolling Stone]

I was hoping there was some controversy here, like Radiohead backhanded the Miley Cyrus song out of the Grammy Nomination through sheer force of will, but this is depressingly mundane.
