Miley Cyrus looks to be joining the ranks of Elizabeth Berkley and other teen stars who have tried to cast off their teenybopper past by courting controversy. According to Angry Ape, the pop singer and "Hannah Montana" star is slated to star in the movie sequel of "Sex and the City."
Huh? In what role? Samantha's long-lost little sis? Someone's babysitter?
Angry Ape elaborates: "The 16-year-old is hoping that landing a role in the sequel will help her be seen as a serious actress, but insiders are suggesting that the raunchy story lines of the film may influence the Disney star."
Showbiz Spy also chimes in with word from an anonymous source, saying "Miley sees this as a transition from teen stardom to more adult roles. "We're all wondering how long it will take Kim to have Miley knocking back Cosmos and ogling all the men."
