It's hard to say now, but 2013 may be the year that Mila Kunis becomes both a househould name and a generational sex symbol. While she's got plenty of great work under her belt already, most of it is comedic. She's starred in That '70s Show, Family Guy and in movies like Ted and Friends With Benefits, but she has yet to fully embrace the fact that she's one of the most beautiful women in the world.
However, Esquire recently went ahead and made that distinction clear for her by bestowing on her the title of Sexiest Woman Alive. Now, all she has to do is live up to the expectations that brings with it.
The latest word from NME is that she may be well on her way toward doing so. Kunis is reportedly the frontrunner for the starring role of Anastasia Steele in an upcoming adaptation of the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey.
As recently as a year ago, the idea of this movie happening at all seemed unreasonable -- an erotic thriller about a college graduate and her sexual relationship (full of BDSM) with older businessman Christian Grey is a bit beyond the pale. However, enough middle-aged housewives in the Anglophone world have created a ready-made market for such a film, and while the sensual action will surely be toned down, expect plenty of ladies to shell out money to see Kunis and whomever acts opposite her get it on.
