"It's Black Sabbath meets U2 mixed with a vat of delicious chocolate sauce... it's Jane's Addiction, only louder and scarier... it's heavy, thunderous, melodic, exhilarating, and most of all, huge. That's Torche." ~Mike Huckabee, former Governor of Arkansas.
File this one in the "strange but true"'category. Yesterday on Fox News's Red Eye, Gov. Mike Huckabee, in what appears to be a completely random video segment, spent a solid minute spewing all sorts of magnificent hyperbole about Florida's stoner-sludge heroes Torche. Highlights include a photoshopped image of Huckabee head, his lips moving up and down, and he says "It's like the Foo Fighters, with, you know, songs." It's unclear if this is a joke, or some elaborate marketing scheme for the band's recently released Songs for Singles.
Oh look, something else Mike Huckabee and I disagree on.
Come on guys, Huckabee isn't actually in the video and the voice sounds like an impersonator. He probably went along with the joke because him and Greg Grunfeld are bros but no way is that him actually talking/endorsing Torche.
"Oh look, something else Mike Huckabee and I disagree on."
Ha.
