Midlake return to touring U.S. in September

Seems ol' Van Occupanther still has some legs on him. Texan prog rockers Midlake will resume touring the States in September, after some lengthy time over on the European festival circuit. (The band reportedly has much of a bigger following over on the continent, which is nothing new for an innovative American band.) Since it's been so long since The Trials of Van Occupanther came out, it's probably a safe bet that Midlake will be road testing a lot of new material. Follow on after the jump for their new American dates...

Don't think there have been any official statements from their camp about new album plans. They are guesting on one track off the new Chemical Brothers album, though.
