Microsoft giveth and taketh away

via Cnet
You can still see some goofy videos on their "viral" site ComingZune, but Microsoft has launched an official site for their new player, featuring specs, accessory details, and a theme for Windows XP if you're feeling especially fanboy-ish about the whole thing.
It would be silly to maintain two music stores at once, so the behemoth from Redmond will be shuttering MSN Music (we hardly knew ye.) The site will remain, but starting November 14th, folks who try to purchase tracks will be redirected to Zune or Rhapsody.
Engadget has a in-depth preview of the Zune software interface, which looks suspiciously like the Urge service that's been operating for a few months. I suppose that's what being built into Windows Media Player 11 will do.
