Oscar-winning director Michel Hazanavicius (The Artist) may direct a script written by comedian Demitri Martin. Deadline reports that Hazanavicius and Paramount Pictures are interested in bringing Martin’s long-delayed screenplay Will to the screen.
Will follows the story the titular character living in a world without free-will where every single action is based on angelic scribes. When his writer quits, Will finds he able to do anything that he wants. The script was previously attached to Little Miss Sunshine and Ruby Sparks directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton with Paul Rudd and Zach Galifianakis starring in the film. However, the project had been shelved for two years before Hazanavicius became interested.
Hazanavicius is currently directing a remake of the 1958 film The Search.
