Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ Jacket Sells For $1.8 Million

In case you still had any lingering doubts about the rehabilitation of Michael Jackson’s image since his death two years ago, here’s some crazy news: His jacket from the video for “Thriller” sold for a whopping $1.8 million at auction this weekend, selling for way more than the predicted price of $400,000. The sale took place exactly two years after Jackson’s death, and the proceeds will go to a wildlife preserve where Jackson’s two tigers have been for five years. Even crazier: Someone paid $330,000 for one of his sequined gloves. [CNN]
