Michael Jackson’s landmark album Bad is set for a reissue on September 18. But don’t expect a simple remastering and maybe some outtakes and extended liner notes— Rolling Stone reports that the release will include three CDs, a DVD, and two new booklets and will be called Bad 25.
The majority of the new content will come from one of Jackson’s massive shows at Wembley Stadium in England during the Bad tour. The DVD will feature an unreleased “personal video recording” of the show from July 1988 found in Michael Jackson’s archives, and one of the CDs will include a professional audio recording of the same show. The other CD will feature tracks that didn’t make it onto the original album. For less obsessive Michael fans there will be a smaller remastered edition of Bad released with just the outtakes and the original album.
