After a few weeks of speculation, Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson, was awarded permanent custody of Michael's three children (Prince Michael, Paris Michael, and Prince Michael II). Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge Mitchel Beckloff ruled in the case, announcing that Katherine had struck a deal with the older children's mother, Michael's ex-wife Debbie Rowe, that gave her visitation but not custody. Michael noted in his 2002 will that he'd like the kids to be with his mother.
But as with all things related to Jackson, there were some strange moments at the hearing, principally that Jackson's dermatologist, Arnold Klein, objected to Katherine getting the kids citing that he was concerned about Joe Jackson being around and where the kids would be educated. Why would Michael's dermatologist have a say? It's been rumored that he's actually the father (along with basically every other male person in Michael's inner circle) of the eldest children. [NME]
