After speaking to an unnamed law enforcement officer, this afternoon the Associated Press reports that the Los Angeles County Coroner has ruled that Michael Jackson's death, almost a full two months ago, was a homicide. Naturally, this finding makes it likely that criminal charges will be filed against Dr. Conrad Murray, the doctor who was with Jackson when he died.
Reportedly, the coroner determined that the combination of drugs given to Jackson by Murray, the cardiologist who became Jackson's doctor shortly before his death, caused Jackson's death. Specifically, the coroner apparently found that the anesthetic propofol and two other sedatives formed the lethal dosage. The AP said the toxicology report also found other substances in Jackson's system, but found that those weren't likely to have contributed to the singer's death.
