Michael Jackson Vienna Tribute Concert Failing to Attract Stars

The MTV VMAs are planning a spectacular tribute to Michael Jackson this Sunday (Sept. 13), although not everything related to the King of Pop is running smoothly. A proposed tribute concert to the singer in Vienna is experiencing problems, with many stars turning down the opportunity to appear.

The concert is set to take place at Vienna’s Schönbrunn castle and is expected to draw a paying crowd of around 65,000. Jermaine Jackson has arranged the show, and it’s anticipated that he will duet with his deceased brother, who will contribute vocals from a video screen. Spooky.

Unfortunately, Jermaine is having trouble attracting people to play in Vienna, and some of the names linked to the show, including Chris Brown, Mary J. Blige and Natalie Cole, have all announced they won’t be performing. The concert is scheduled for September 26, meaning there is precious little time left to pull this event together.
