Michael Jackson Tribute Concert Ticket Chaos

The outpouring of good will towards Michael Jackson continues, with news coming in that sales of tickets to a tribute concert have exceeded all expectations. The show is set to take place in Vienna on September 26, and the website selling tickets has crashed under huge demand, even though the lineup has yet to be announced.

Jermaine Jackson has put the concert together, with millions of fans reportedly scrambling for the 85,000 tickets available. According to the website for the show, “some of the world's leading artists will perform Michael Jackson's greatest hits live onstage in an imperial setting, befitting the King of Pop.”

Many of the proceeds from the show will go to charity, and ticket prices vary wildly—the most expensive are around $650. Madonna, Whitney Houston and Barack Obama have been mentioned as names who may appear at the concert, although all three have strenuously denied that they will be there.
