Michael Jackson Set To Appear on Special Live TV Séance

Janet Jackson has just announced that she will be interviewed on ABC News on Nov. 18, where she will discuss the death of her brother, Michael. Unfortunately for Janet, she has been usurped by her deceased sibling, who is set to “appear” live on British television this Friday (Nov. 6) in a broadcast of a séance that will attempt to summon his spirit.

Michael Jackson: The Live Séance will be shown on Sky1 in the U.K., and the hour-long show promises to give fans a chance "to connect with their hero one last time." According to Sky1 publicist Kirsty Howell, British psychic Derek Acorah will attempt to capitalize on Michael’s death...or, as she puts it, contact Michael’s spirit, "on an island ... in a secret location familiar to Jackson.”

"We have chosen genuine Michael Jackson fans and people who knew him throughout his life to take part in this event," Howell said. "Derek will also have a personal item from Michael Jackson, and will invite everyone to sit quietly and channel positive thoughts ... he can't force Michael to appear, but he will try inviting his spirit by creating a welcoming environment." These people are likely to be less than thrilled by the show, which British viewers can catch at 10pm on Friday.

Is there anything Derek Acorah won't do for money?
This is the crudest kind of exploitation that will no doubt attract a decent audience. I don't blame them. It's like driving past an accident. You know you shouldn't really be looking, and you might not like what you see. I blame the producers who control the content and clearly demonstrate appalling taste in presenting this spectacle.

I won't be watching. Pointless waste of my time watching Derek Appalling talk to himself and his imaginary friends.
