Micah Blue Smaldone: Immune signing, Death Vessel tour

Micah Blue Smaldone, one of the most unique, distinctive, and just plain talented singer/songwriters to come down the pike in a long time, will be a fount of activity in the coming months. He’s been  signed to the Immune label, which is set to release his third album, The Red River, in November. In the meantime, he’ll be keeping busy by touring with Sub-Poppers Death Vessel, not only as an opening act, but also as a band member. What does he sound like? Well, we can’t speak to the sound of the forthcoming release yet, but in terms of what he’s done up to now, triangulate a style in the midpoint between John Fahey, Jimmy Webb, and Harry Nilsson, and you might at least be pointed in the proper direction.
