M.I.A. Works With WikiLeaks Founder Julian Assange, Creates Music For New TV Show

A little over a year removed from 2010's Vicki Leekx mixtape, it's been revealed that M.I.A. is collaborating with WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. The London-born artist has reportedly written music for his upcoming TV show, The World Tomorrow, which will debut April 17 via the English-language Russian outlet RT.

Comprised of interviews with "politicians, revolutionaries, intellectuals, artists and visionaries," the show has already filmed 12 episodes. They were conducted over the past two months in the England while Assange was under house arrest, a state he's remained in for 493 days, according to Justice 4 Assange.

On Twitter, M.I.A. wrote, "julian assange borrowed my computer last week , im still FREAKING OUT !!!!!" So, while this is still cool news, maybe we'll be hearing new music from Maya sooner than we think. [P4K]
