The discrimination on tamils started even before the existance of tamil tigers. It is the result of of it and not the cause..dont distort the facts!!

Get the facts correct, MIA said in her interview that there is Genocide of tamils in Sri Lanka. There is no genocide, the Government is carrying out a military campaign to wipe out a terrorist group which is banned in 32 countries. 70,000 people, more than half of it Sinhala people, have died due to terrorism and at this crucial moment it is important not to be misled by the misinformation campaign of those who supported and funded the terrorist movement.
Second fact, MIA said SL Army has a million, all three forces in SL, Army, Navy and Air Force has only a combined force of 200,000.

MIA also very conveniently says that there are 350,000 people held in the war zone. But she does not say who is holding these civilians in the war zone. These innocent people are held as human shields by the Tigers. The Tigers are opening fire on any civilian that want to leave that area. I know MIA knows the difference. She is knowingly spreading misinformation and proparganda of the Tamil Tigers. She is also depicting their brutality in some of her music videos.
Why doesnt she try to do some good for the innocent Tamil people in Sri Lanka? She has the world stage to do it. instead, she is still supporting a fascist terrorist who is nothing more than a common criminal/thug who has killed thousands upon thousands of our people. She is a talented singer, but no great artist in this world has been supporting terrorists. In that way, she will be the first to support a group that is banned by 32 countries that including UK (where she was born) and US (where she live). She is fortunate that she managed to get out from the LTTE menace and to move to the western world. If not, she would have been carrying a cynide capsule in her neck (until she is dead) and taking orders from ruthless Prabaharan, the leader of her father's movement of LTTE who killed, Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and millions of many other innocent people in this peace loving world.

I saw a documentary on Sri Lanka not too long ago. It showed to violence on both sides of the war. It really opened my eyes on how bad both the Tigers AND the SL Government are. Such terrible conditions for the Tamils. And anyone who speaks out against the government is killed or labeled a terrorist. i.e. M.I.A. and Lasantha Wickramatunga, a reporter who was recently MURDERED after exposing the truth of the SL government. I would advise everyone to read this article he wrote before he died. He knew his life was at risk.
