M.I.A. Responds To Times Profile With A Song On Her Really Ugly Website

M.I.A. apparently did not appreciate being characterized by The New York Times as a truffle french-fry chomping bon vivant instead of the voice of the oppressed peoples of Sri Lanka. She was so put out, in fact, that she has posted original audio from the interview as well as a response (in song, no less) to the content of Lynn Hirschberg's article. Regardless of the average person's feelings on truffle fries or M.I.A.'s politics, the profile flap has not only whet appetites for Hirschberg's response song, but drawn attention to M.I.A.'s web design, which is possibly the ugliest thing since Dancing Jesus.
