M.I.A. sets release date for upcoming album 'Kala'

Via: Pitchfork
Rolling Stone is reporting that M.I.A. has chosen to release her followup to 2005's Arular on June 26 and it will be titled Kala. Diplo and Timbaland are expected to contribute to the album which will be released on Interscope Records.
Does anyone else get the feeling that the album is going to be mysteriously shelved, only to find out 30 years later that the C.I.A. planted an agent in Interscope's front offices? Maybe M.I.A. should consider discussing plans of a superhero squad with Diplo and Timbaland just in case.

Word from Interscope is that this album won't be out until August or later. MIA can't even get into the US right now, so there's no way Interscope's gonna play ball with a US release for this record for a long while.
