Haggard donated twenty thousand dollars to the cause and had agreed to ride the Green Train, which seeks to raise awareness with a twenty-six state whistle-stop tour, but now says that there are are quite a few irregularities. According to the lawsuit, Green Train founder Robert Wolf misused funds and also mischaracterized the depth of Haggard's involvement in the organization. Haggard took particular with a mailing that went out to other figures in the music industry that "exaggerated his involvement in the organization and forged his signature," and is seeking compensatory damages, attorney fees, and a public apology.
