The Shout Out Louds have a new album out after a two-year hiatus that followed 2007's Our Ill Wills. During the break, songwriter Adam Olenius wrote most of Work in an itty Australian room, so it follows that one of the songs would be titled "Walls."
This song is like what you expect from the Dodos or Cold War Kids at their shiniest -- courageous in sound, but vague in message; swollen with catchiness. Much is added by the jazzy piano bit, and the song is perfectly sung. Let's hope the rest of the album, the Swedish band's third, packs as much moxy. It is out Feb. 23 on Merge.

I'm digging this; I think I like any song that plays one piano note over and over again.
