Merge Records, aka the label founded and owned by Superchunk, is set to reissue yet another classic album from the seminal indie rockers. In September, the label will put out a remastered version of 1994’s Foolish, the band’s fourth album and first on Merge. Prior to starting their own label, Superchunk dropped their first three records on Matador. And two of them, No Pocky For Kitty and On the Mouth, were reissued last year by Merge.
The Foolish reissue drops Sept. 13 on Merge. It will be released digitally and on CD and vinyl. You can watch Superchunk perform opening track “Like a Fool” live in their hometown of Chapel Hill, N.C. below.
