After catching a buzz on their own with the self-released The Years EP, Memoryhouse then signed with Sub Pop this summer to properly release the project. The dreamy Toronto duo's stock jumped again when The Years dropped in September, and it will only continue to rise with the release of their proper full-length debut early next year.
Memoryhouse announced today that they're dropping a 10-track album, The Slideshow Effect, on Feb. 28 via Sub Pop. A press release indicates that the project finds Evan Abeele and Denise Nouvion treading new territory sonically and writing-wise. It will apparently serve as a transitional project for the duo, who's moving from a "'bedroom recording project' into a fully realized band." [CoS]
