MeLo-X Discusses Police Brutality On "The Truth"

Brooklyn native MeLo-X always strikes a chord as one of the more creative talents of the underground. His recent offering "Mojitos & Little Dragon" played with bubbly synths and a smooth, summery chorus, a stark contrast to his dark thoughtfulness on "The Truth," his latest single.

Filtering in an evening news reporter's relay of recent police brutality in East Flatbush, MeLo-X embraces a more somber approach on this new track, likening the New York Police Department to "zookeepers" and addressing the resounding effects on the city's youth and community. [via Okayplayer]

His forthcoming EP, God:HiFi, is projected to release next month.
