Last month's release of Tyler, the Creator's Goblin marked the first proper release by the Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All collective, which previously dropped all of its music online for free. And since Tyler signed a one-off deal with XL Recordings to release Goblin, his fellow Wolves have had similar success. Along with the group's distribution deal with Sony RED, Def Jam will put out Frank Ocean's Nostalgia, Ultra this summer.
Additionally, MellowHype's fantastic sophomore album, last October's Blackenedwhite, will see a proper release next month via Fat Possum. It's set to include a few new tracks, such as "64," and artwork and design designed by OFWGKTA. While that's all well and good, it apparently will no longer feature one of its standout tracks, "Chordaroy." As it appeared on the original version, the song featured a ridiculous opening verse from Earl Sweatshirt. But given all the controversy surrounding his whereabouts and the fact he wasn't even on Goblin, this isn't much of a surprise.
Blackenedwhite is due out July 12 on Fat Possum. Listen to "Chordaroy" below.
