In a bold move that shows sexy vegetarians aren’t just stick-thin models subsisting on celery and cigarettes, PETA2, the youth wing of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, has put together an eclectic list of nominees for their annual sexiest vegetarian contest. The younger generation of indie and electronic music is well represented, as Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Russell Lissack of Bloc Party, Igor Volk of New Young Pony Club and Mira Aroyo of Ladytron made the cut. They might be outshined, however, by the addition of graying but still sexy music icons Paul McCartney and Morrissey, whose advancing years have done nothing to dim their sensual appeal. Though the contest was won last year by youngsters Kirsten Bell and Davey Havoc of AFI, vote here to show that age ain’t nothing but a number when it comes to being sexy and shunning animal products.
