Sorry iTunes users - despite this past Tuesday's release of Paul McCartney's post-Beatles albums on download services such as Rhapsody, Napster and Zune, you're going to have to wait to get "Live and Let Die" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" from the iTunes Store. For unexplained reasons, there's been a hold-up in the release of his 25-album back catalog. The delay comes just three months after Apple Inc. (owner of iTunes) and Apple, Corps. (the Beatles' label) settled their longtime trademark feud, and less than two weeks after McCartney told Billboard that a deal to get the Beatles catalog online was near completion. Some sources speculate that the hold-up might be due to this Monday's purchase of EMI Group (McCartney's former label) by a private equity firm. [McCartney catalog not yet on iTunes (iLounge)]
