After hearing Kanye West’s “So Appalled” last night, did you expect to see these kind of headlines popping up? I at least expected some more time to pass before finding out about this type of reaction. If anything, I figured we’d find some blogs ranting about how much they love Pusha and Jay-Z’s verses or perhaps looking into why Swizz and RZA even appeared on the track at all.
But, personally, I had a feeling MC Hammer would respond to Jay-Z’s following lines in the latest G.O.O.D. Friday leak: “And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused/ I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30/ Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me.”
Just take into account that Hammer has a Twitter account and, as such, doesn’t need to reach out to anyone for an interview or even issue a press release. He can just tweet the following aggression-fueled mini-rant and bam, he’s back in the “news”:
So it looks like Jay-Z has made another enemy, though I doubt Hammer’s “Devil’s Nite” track is going to pack as much venom as, say, any track during the Nas/Jigga beef. And, stop me if I’m wrong, but this is about as lame/laughable as the KiD CuDi and Wale garbage that happened last week.
