Even though a lot of these Brit bands rip each other off and sound alike, I've always kinda liked this band, especially their frontman's voice. Really disappointed with this song, though...when will the 80s die already?

Broaden ur horizons a bit, jeez. And oi, the 80's did a lot for development of popular music, don't jip. Even so, it's only got the synthesised riff that resembles 80's stylee.This song's ace! I love it anyway

Well, I don't know about this Joe fellow, but it's not a matter of broadening my horizons - I listen to loads of Britpop and quite a lot of music from all over the '80s (yes, there was some good stuff in the decade), and I've accepted the whole '80s revival movement without too much griping. But it's been really overdone for the last couple of years, and I wish more bands would find their niche rather than follow whatever trend seems to be going successfully. I liked Maximo Park's last release(s) decently because the angular sound works really well for them, but I don't think this synth stuff will set them apart from anyone.

I think this song has a lot of potential.I am quite a shallow person when it comes to music, i listen to britpop and indie and hardly anything else, mainly bands like pulp,blur,suede,ocean colour scene etc etc.i study music and have done for yeeears, and i think the 80's synth running through it makes it a far more grittier song, but i think this song is far more indie/britpop based and think the structure of the music is very indie as is the vocals but thats just my view, i really like this song actually

I'm a bit like Harry (above) - quite exact tastes in my music tastes - and this ticks all the right boxes for me.....I have listened to it none stop and still Love it!!So what if this type of music has all been done before? What Hasn't?!Favourite thing about this song, and all of Maximo's Tunes - Lead Singer Paul's Amazing Voice - The wellknown phrase springs to mind - "Say It Like You Mean It" - Well he certainly seems to be meaning it.....Here's hoping the rest of the new album is just as ace.....
