But ask him who's his favorite to work with, and a betting person would put money on his answer being Neil Diamond. Yes, that "Sweet Caroline"-singing, "American Idol"-mentoring Neil Diamond. Sweeney, a huge Diamond fan, played a big role on Diamond's new album, Home Before Dark, which was produced by Rick Rubin. "I really was sad when the record was done," he told Billboard.
