Matt Pond PA prepping new album

September 25 is the slated release date for the latest album from Matt Pond PA, the band formed around the singer-songwriter named--you guessed it--Frank Stallone. No, that's an old Norm McDonald joke! Actually the band is centered around Matt Pond. The PA comes from the fact that Pond comes from Pennsylvania. Entitled Last Light, the newbie will be released on Altitude Records. Pond duets with Neko Case on one track, and he worked with a bevy of producers on the album, including Rob Schnapf and Thom Monahan.
