Matt Groening Curating ATP

Tickets for the ATP event curated by Pavement are selling fast, and the festival organizers have delivered on their promise to announce another set of shows in the festival series. Simpsons creator Matt Groening will take control of the lineup for the ATP event planned for Minehead in the U.K. between May 7-9.

 

Groening previously curated an ATP event in Los Angeles in 2003, where he chose Cat Power, Sonic Youth, the Shins, Daniel Johnston and many others to appear. His ATP takes places just one week before Pavement takes the reigns of the festival, although no acts for Groening’s weekend have yet been announced.

 

The decision to invite a previous curator back ties in with the festival’s 10-year celebrations, and tickets will go on sale this Friday (Oct. 16). A special “early bird” deal allows purchasers to buy tickets at a discounted rate—full details are available on the official ATP website.
