Matador Signs Ceremony, New Full-Length Due In 2012

Rohnert Park, the 2010 full-length from Bay Area hardcore burners Ceremony marked a huge step forward for the band. Already revered in certain circles for their blistering punk/powerviolence attack, Rohnert Park heaped on tons of experimentation, as well as a stronger embrace of classic punk sounds. As revealed today, the album had a huge effect on the people at Matador Records, as the powerful indie label has announced Ceremony's addition to their diverse roster. A new full-length Ceremony album is due out in the first half 2012, following their final Bridge Nine release, the simply titled 6 Cover Songs.
